Our Memories Plus...
Our memories are very fond from the Gingerbread Castle. The pictures above reflect the reception hall across the street from the castle and include some very old photos and recent photos of our animals from the petting zoo and some friends who believed in The Gingerbread Castle. We even included some "fun" photos for our "ole friends" to have a giggle....If any "ole friends have a photo, email us so we can add it above...
You will find a picture of Frank Hinger. His story is long, but simple. He devoted almost five full years of his life in attempts to get the castle and its entire grounds restored and back to the children and families. He began around 2000, when former owners had haphazardly opened up the park and brought in a liquor license. Hence, turning the reception hall into a night club. Frank knew in his heart this was not the intentions for the castle and through many trial and attempts, managed to become sole owner in 2004. Days upon days, he stood his ground, believing to restore the grounds back to their intentions and with new ideas. When he took on the project, he only have a dream...Unfortunately, many obstacles got in the way, including funds, though the full truth of his loss can be read by clicking the following link: Frank still believes his efforts were not in vain and believes he knows "Gods Intentions" for the magical castle and its grounds. Many great friends and memories live with us today from our time at the castle. Some may think we fell off the face of the earth...truth is we didn't! We would like to first tell all those who believed with us and offered helping hands and gave donations...you are truly thanked and your efforts were not in vain.
For now all we can do is keep the Gingerbread Castle in our prayers and believe its restoration and intended purpose will succeed.
